In Livingstone we changed groups. The four of us that remained from Cape Town were joined by thirteen on a tour from J'Burg and 3 joining at Livingstone. It was a completely different make up, all Aussies Kiwis and Brits.
Zambia gets more beautiful the further North you travel. You could say Africa gets more 'African'. It could be something to do with the relative lack of tourists and South African influence that make it north of the Zambezi and consequently the lack of foreign investment. This also means that the roads gradually get worse until you get to the point where you have to use small pacific Island nations to plug the potholes in the road.

For lunch we stop under a tree watched over by a few local kids. Produce one football and pretty soon a few becomes fifty, all just appearing out of the maize fields. It took ages to get our ball back.
